Mumbai: In a subtle jibe at the induction of Priyanka Gandhi in the Congress party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that unlike many other parties in the country, in the BJP, the party is the ‘family’. Interacting with BJP workers in Maharashtra on Wednesday, Modi said that in ‘many cases’, ‘family is the party’.
“Hamari party main Koi bhi nirnaya iss baat se nahi hote hain ki ek vyakti ya ek parivaar kya chahta hai, aur isliye kaha jata hai ki desh main zyadatar cases mein parivaar hi party hai, lekin BJP main party hi parivaar hai (In our party, decisions are not taken on the basis of what one individual or family think. In most cases, family is the party. But in BJP, party is family),” Modi said at the rally.
Earlier today. Congress inducted party president Rahul Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary from east Uttar Pradesh.
