Rahul Rally: Cong To Begin Poll Campaign With Rahul Rally In Banswara | Jaipur News

PCC president Govind Singh Dotasra on Friday said Gandhi has confirmed his participation in the rally. The Congress has been trying to woo back the tribal people ever since the BJP and the Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) made a dent in its traditional tribal vote bank in south Rajasthan.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul have been invited to this meeting. But only Rahul had so far confirmed his participation. This meeting is being considered as a show of political power by Congress in the tribal areas.
Congress has started preparations for this meeting. The gathering at Mangarh Dham is being seen as the beginning of the election campaign of the Congress. There is a political message in the Congress meeting in Mangarh Dham. This Dham is a holy place for the tribals spread over the three states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Congress is preparing for a show of political power by mobilising a large number of tribals on the occasion of World Tribal Day.
Dotasra while interacting with media said, “We are going to hold a big meeting at Mangarh Dham on August 9 on the occasion of World Tribal Day. An invitation was sent to Rahul for this meeting. The state in charge SS Randhawa on Friday conveyed that Rahul had confirmed his attendance. PM Modi has held six meetings in Rajasthan so far. We will mobilise more people than the six public meetings put together of Modi rallies at Mangarh,” claimed Dotasra.
He said it was a long-standing demand of tribals to declare Mangarh Dham as a national monument.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not say a word about that. We would like our government to give such a gift in the presence of Rahul Gandhi so that their enthusiasm remains intact. We cannot declare it as a national monument officially but could elevate its grandeur to the level of the national monument to celebrate its contribution to the freedom movement,” he said.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot may make use of the opportunity to make some announcements to woo tribal votes, said state Congress leaders. The project has already been announced for the development of Mangarh Dham by the state government, they said.
The Congress leader claimed that the presence of Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders among the tribal people is “not a political but a social message of solidarityto let them feel that the party stands with the tribal communities in their happiness and sorrows”.
