Man Gets 20 Years In Jail For Abducting, Raping Minor Girl | Jaipur News

Kota: A Pocso court in Jhalawar on Wednesday convicted a 25-year-old man to 20 years of imprisonment for abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl in Jawar police station area of the district around three years ago. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 65,000 on the convict.
POCSO court-I judge Pradeep Kumar Verma sentenced Kamlesh Kumar Bheel, a resident of Samliya Beh under Jawar police station of Jhalawar district to 20 years in jail for abduction and rape, public prosecutor, POCSO court-I Ramhetar Gurjar said.
Grandmother of the minor survivor lodged a case of abduction against Kamlesh Kumar Bheel in Jawar police station on September 18, 2019 and alleged the youth had abducted her granddaughter. On the report, police lodged a case of abduction under Sections 363 and 366 of IPC and began investigation, he said, adding the minor survivor was rescued after around 2 months on November 1, 2019.
On the basis of minor survivor’s statement to police, section 376 (3) and sections of POCSO Act were incorporated and the culprit was arrested, who had been in jail under judicial custody since then, Gurjar added.
Statements of at least 17 witnesses were recorded during the trial and 23 documents were produced before the court, he added.
