Jaipur: A 19-year-old woman, allegedly involved in drug smuggling, was arrested on Sunday by Nagaur’s Kotwali police station team. The accused has been identified as Pooja Bhadu, wife of Rakesh Jat.
During the operation, the police also confiscated a significant quantity of narcotics, including smack and MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine), as well as an illegal pistol with two cartridges.
Bhadu has been booked under charges of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Arms Act. A police official stated, “Approximately 2.45 grams of smack and 2.45 grams of MDMA were recovered, along with Rs 15,670 in cash.”
The accused was known for her active presence on social media, where she flaunted her luxury lifestyle. A police informer provided a tip-off that she was involved in the illegal drug trade in Nagaur city. Following this, the DST (Drug Special Taskforce) began monitoring her closely.

Psychedelic drug MDMA eases PTSD symptoms in a study that paves the way for possible US approval
A new study has found that the psychedelic drug MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, can reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) when combined with talk therapy. The study measured symptoms in 104 people with PTSD who were randomly assigned to receive either MDMA or a placebo. After treatment, 86% of the MDMA group showed improvement on a standard PTSD assessment compared to 69% of the placebo group. This research could lead to the approval of MDMA as a PTSD treatment and opens up possibilities for other innovative treatments.
