₹1.8k Cr Boost For Drainage, Sewerage Network In State | Jaipur News
Jaipur: With sewerage and drainage networks in several cities in bad shape, the Ashok Gehlot government has allocated Rs 1,800 crore for improvement of sewerage facilities, drainage and beautifications in urban areas. Officials claimed the fund will help to improve sewerage and drainage networks to a great extent.
“Forget about other cities, sewerage and drainage conditions in the state capital Jaipur are in a bad shape. We should wait and check the distribution of this fund and the amount meant for the two municipal corporations in Jaipur. Hopefully, we can repair the networks to some extent,” an official said.
Besides, in the Budget speech, the chief minister has allocated Rs 1,750 crore for road repairs in various municipalities. “I would also like to announce GIS-based 3D projects for Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota and Ajmer. This is our endeavour to modernize the urban areas of Rajasthan,” the chief minister said.
