1.06 Cr Families To Get Free Food Packets Under Annapurna Plan | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot in his efforts to give people relief from inflation has approved the action plan of Chief Minister Free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme. Under this scheme, free food packets will be distributed to 1.06 crore families covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA).
Each packet will contain chana dal, sugar, salt (1 kg each), edible oil (1 litre), chilli powder, coriander powder (100 grams each), and turmeric powder (50 grams). Supplying food packets to the beneficiaries at a cost of about Rs 370 per packet (including all expenses) would result in a monthly expenditure of about Rs 392 crore. Under this scheme, registration of eligible persons will be done in inflation relief camps to be organized from April 24. The food items will be prepared by purchasing the material by CONFED. TNN
