14k Govt Docs Boycott Work In Solidarity With Pvt Hosps | Jaipur News

Jaipur: More than 14,000 in-service doctors boycotted work in solidarity with their private hospital counterparts, affecting OPD services in district, sub-district and satellite hospitals as well as community health centres across the state on Wednesday.
Unlike the private hospitals are demanding ‘No to RTH Bill’, All Rajasthan In Service Doctors Association (ARISDA) has clarified their stance and stated that if the government is implementing the RTH Bill, it should incorporate suggestions from the agitating doctors. “It will be resolved only by talks. The government should bring the RTH only after taking suggestions from the agitating doctors. It will only be done through talks. The deadlock should end now for the benefit of the people,” said Dr Ajay Chaudhary, president, ARISDA, which has been supporting striking private hospital doctors.
He said, “Boycott of work was successful across the state except few districts. The hospital emergencies, though, continued to function.” “We have boycotted work for only a day so that patients should not suffer. The patients were not denied treatment as we kept emergency services open,” he said.
Dr Chaudhary said, “Now it is up to the government and doctors to talk on RTH Bill and resolve the issues and misconceptions, if they have any. We have a clear stand that we are not completely against the RTH Bill as it is for the people of the state. But, the state government should also resolve the issues of the agitating doctors before implementing it in the state.”
