Jaipur: A 16-year-old girl who was molested for a long time by three youths living in a village under Makrana police station area of Nagaur ended her life by hanging from the ceiling on Thursday.
Within some hours after the incident the Nagaur police had detained three persons who were arrested in the records on Friday for abetment of suicide and POCSO Act. Police said that the girl had committed suicide since she was harassed by the three youths and was also being blackmailed. Also, police said that family didn’t approach the police on the alleged molestation by the three youths.
According to the police, the girl had ended her life by hanging from the ceiling at her residence. Later, her father approached the police station and gave a written complainant. “The father of the girl alleged that the accused identified as Salman Bhishti (21), Asif (21) and Naushad (18) were not only eve-teasing the girl but they had also molested her and outraged her modesy,” said a senior police officer. tnn
