Jaipur: A day after four beat constables were suspended after a team from the crime branch of Jaipur police commissionerate busted a major racket involved in manufacturing and packaging of spurious liquor, the DGP suspended the station house officers (SHOs) of Shivdaspura and Sanganer. A departmental inquiry has already been initiated against them.
According to police headquarters, Shivdaspura SHO Mangilal Bishnoi and his Sanganer counterpart Brijmohan Kaviya were suspended on Monday. “During the suspension, both will have to report at reserve police lines of the commissionerate,” said an officer. DGP Umesh Mishra has also issued order in this regard on Monday. On Sunday, Jaipur police had suspended four beat constables after a team from the crime branch busted a spurious liquor manufacturing and packaging racket. It was informed that one plant was operational at Shikarpura under Sanganer Sadar police station area and the the second was operating in Kokabas under the same police station area. “Both were suspended for their supervisory negligence as they were clueless on the racket run by liquor mafia in their region,” said a senior officer.
