3 Abduct Man For Ransom, Torture Him With Cigarettes | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Three suspects were arrested on Sunday after they abducted a 20-year-old man from a street and tortured him by using cigarettes and a lighter to inflict burns. DCP (East) Gyan Chandra Yadav said that the abductors have been identified as Sagar Gurjar (22), Dilkush Gurjar (24) and Chandra Shekhar Nagar (26), all residents of Tonk district.
Yadav said that Sanganer police received a report on Saturday that Vikas Meena and his friend Ramesh Choudhary, who were living in a rented room in Pratap Nagar, were intercepted near Prabhu Dayal Marg by unidentified men who pulled Meena into their car. They were carrying firearms and demanded that Choudhary arrange Rs 20 lakh as ransom for Meena.
“The Sanganer police promptly responded to the distress call, and we assembled a special team to trace the car. We found that the abductors were frequently changing their vehicle’s number plate,” Yadav said.
He added that assistance was sought from police in different districts. The accused were arrested from Tonk district and weapons used in the crime were also recovered. “We found that the accused physically assaulted Meena and tortured him. They even took him to various locations, including Bhilwara,” Yadav said.
“We have learned that the accused randomly select targets for abduction and demand money from their family while subjecting their victims to cruelty,” Yadav said.
