3 held for abduction, murder of businessman in Alwar | Jaipur News

ALWAR/JAIPUR: The Alwar police on Wednesday arrested three accused for the abduction and murder of a 63-year-old businessman for a ransom of Rs 40 lakh.
The police listed the accused as Baljeet Singh alias Balli (25), a resident of Tijara, Ashok alias Jhunnu (28) also a resident of Alwar, and Vikash Singh (19), a resident of Ladiya Mohalla of the district. The investigators claimed the accused are linked to the notorious Papla gang. They had abducted and then murdered businessman Ghyanshyam Saini on July 29, because the victim had earlier financially helped their rivals of the Chiku Gang.
The police listed Raja alias Shibbu (23), Amit Soni (25), and Kamal alias Monty as three men who are wanted for the conspiracy. Police revealed that the accused followed Saini when he left for a barber shop on his scooter on July 29. The accused began following Saini in their SUV. When Saini stepped out of the shop, they pushed him into their SUV and took him into a jungle in Jaroli.
The accused reportedly told cops that they and their aides asked Saini to stump up Rs 10 crore if he wished to return safely. Saini declined to pay Rs 10 crore while the accused agreed to a ransom of Rs 40 lakh. Saini refused to pay anything to the accused, following which they beat him to death. “The accused took his body to Naurangabad in Tijara and abandoned it there,” said an official.
The district police said that one of the suspects then called up the police control room. Acting as a villager, the suspect told cops over the phone that an unidentified body is lying alongside the road. The Alwar police also claimed that besides at the helms of different businesses, Saini was allegedly also linked to some betting trade.
He was a resident of Pratap Bas under Kotwali police station area of Alwar.
