Jaipur: A 62-year-old man allegedly killed his 23-year-old daughter at their residence situated in a village under Suratgarh police station area of Sriganganagar on Sunday early morning by strangulating her to death. After the murder the accused did not flee, was taken in custody and later arrested by the police in the evening. In the primary investigation it was found that the man was upset with the love affair of his daughter and killed her. The accused told the police that his daughter was not focusing on her studies while preparing for the RAS examination and was into an affair.
According to the police, the incident took place at 4 am on Sunday when the accused identified as Goma Khan killed his daughter identified as Cheena Bano at their residence situated at Chak 1 KSR village under Suratgarh police station area of Sriganganagar. “The neighbours of Khan only informed us and our team reached at the spot. The body of the woman was found on a charpoi and the accused man was sitting in the shed made for animals including goats at their house,” said a senior officer of Suratgarh police station.
The accused has also claimed that his daughter was pressurizing the family to get her married to boy she was having an affair and had also threatened to commit suicide, said Kishan Singh, DSP Suratgarh.
