Hit-And-Run: Cop Dies In Hit-&-run In Jaipur, 2nd In A Wk | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A head constable posted at Chandwaji police station died in a suspected hit-and-run case near NIMS College on Delhi Road in Jaipur on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Bhagwan Sahay Meena (45), a resident of Harwar (Amer).
This is the second hit-and-run case this week. On Monday, another morning walker died after being hit by a jeep.
According to police, Meena had gone for a morning walk at around 5.30am after informing his colleague. Around 6.30am, the police received information about a body found on the roadside. Responding to the call, the police team confirmed the body’s identity as that of Meena. During inquiries with nearby residents, it was revealed that an unidentified vehicle had struck him. The body was transported to SMS Hospital’s mortuary and the family was informed. An FIR has been filed against the vehicle’s driver.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage near NIMS College on Delhi Road where the accident occurred. However, as of now, no substantial leads have emerged. The person who reported the incident is unable to provide specific details about the vehicle.
Meena had been posted at the Chandwaji police station for three years and is survived by two sons. His eldest son is employed in the private sector, while the youngest son is pursuing a degree in MBBS. Both sons and other relatives arrived at SMS Hospital’s mortuary upon learning of the accident. The post-mortem was conducted by the medical board.

Sahil, who was declared a “proclaimed offender”, had been hiding in Haryana and Rajasthan since 2022. He confessed to his involvement in the murder, which occurred in May 2022 in Sangam Vihar, where he and two others, Hrithik and Anurag, engaged in a quarrel resulting in the stabbing of a man named Jahid.
