Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot approved a proposal to provide bonus on state employees’ insurance policies for financial year 2019-20. Gehlot has approved the Actuary Appraisal Report which will benefit around 7.50 lakh employees of the state. Gehlot also approved a proposal to give dearness allowance to veterinary interns on their stipend on the lines of ayurveda and medical interns.
The report of the actuarial assessment conducted by the director, insurance under the Rajasthan Government Employees’ Insurance Rules-1998 has recommended a simple reversionary bonus of Rs 90 per thousand for endowment policy and Rs 112.5 per thousand for life policy for the year 2019-20. It was also recommended to give a bonus at the same rate for the financial year 2018-19 on insurance policies. TNN (With agency inputs)
