Jaipur: The state government has decided to procure ration kits and distribute them to beneficiaries through district-level committees headed by district collectors.
This task was earlier given to Rajasthan State Co-operative Consumer Federation Ltd (Confed), under the cooperative department, instead of the food department, which was the nodal agency for the scheme. However, the state government has now decided to do this through district-level committees due to the delay in floating tenders, said an official on Monday.
Instead of the cooperative department, the district-level committees will procure and distribute the food kits.
