Jaipur: Officers on special duty (OSD) appointed by the state government for the 15 new districts are working on a war footing to identify new buildings where to set up offices on a temporary basis and scouting for land to establish new offices. Sources said the notification for the creation of new districts is likely to be issued in the first week of July.
The demarcation of the new districts will reflect in the notification to be issued by the revenue department. The new districts are Anoopgarh, Balotra, Beawar, Kekri, Deeg, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Dudu, Gangapur City, Kotputli-Behror, Khairtal, Neem ka Thana, Phalodi, Salumber, Sanchore and Shahpura.
“We have found buildings to set up district-level offices, collectorate and a mini secretariat on a temporary basis till the permanent offices are built. We are in the process of identifying land for the construction of permanent buildings,” said the OSD of a new district. Similar exercises are being carried out by all OSDs for the new districts. They are to identify buildings to house 60 government departments for each new district.
