Launch: Annapurna Food Scheme Launch Today | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot will launch the free Annapurna Food Packet Scheme on Independence Day to give relief from inflation. The scheme will be launched on Tuesday at 3:30 pm in Birla Auditorium.

Under this scheme, families covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) will get Annapurna food packets every month from the ration shop. Under the scheme, one kilo of dal, sugar, and iodized salt, one litre of soybean refined edible oil, 100 grams of chili powder and coriander powder and 50 grams of turmeric powder will be given free of cost to each family.
The launch ceremony of the scheme will be organised at more than 25,000 fair price shops at all district and block headquarters including the newly formed districts. Annapurna food packets will be distributed free of cost to the eligible beneficiaries at the inauguration ceremony to be organized at state, district and block levels and at fair-price shops.

A fair price shop kiosk will be set up in the district and block level function where public representatives will distribute free food packets to beneficiaries.
