Landmine: Live Landmine Found Near Border Area In Jaisalmer | Jaipur News

JAISALMER: A live anti-personnel landmine was found near the international border adjacent to the Myjalar area of Jaisalmer on Friday.
The villagers were informed of sighting by a shepherd, who then informed the BSF. BSF and police officials reached the spot and secured the landmine.
Jaisalmer SP Vikas Sangwan, while confirming the discovery of landmine, said that on Friday, a shepherd saw a bomb-shaped box near Kerala village at Myjalar border, and later the villagers informed BSF and police.
Jhinjhiniyali police and BSF officials found that they were anti-personnel landmine which were buried in the sand dunes earlier and could have come out due to the strong winds in the region.
