Temperature: Temp Rises As Raj Witnesses No Rainfall For Past 20 Days | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Mercury continued to take an upward swing as no monsoon rainfall has been witnessed in the state for the past 20 days. Usually, early morning nip in the air is witnessed in September but so far the temperatures are showing a rising trend.
Churu remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 39.8 degree Celsius was recorded on Saturday.
Attributing the weak monsoon in the state to the upper air cyclonic circulation and western disturbances, the Met office said that mild showers are likely in some parts of southern and western Rajasthan on September 7.
The Met office said that maximum temperatures which are nearing 40 degrees Celsius in Churu is quite unusual. “Usually this is the time when in the mornings nip in the air is witnessed and gradually temperatures start dipping,” said an officer with the Met office. People in Jaipur woke up to a minimum temperature of 27.6 degree Celsius which was almost 3.0 degrees above the normal notch. “Usually during this period in Jaipur, a minimum temperature of 24.0 degree Celsius or below is witnessed,” said an officer with Met office Jaipur.
In this season, so far, an average rainfall of 442.33 mm was received which is minus 6.5 % lesser compared to 472.97 mm recorded till September 2, 2022.
Churu was followed by Sriganganagar where a maximum temperature of 38.6 degree Celsius was recorded. Also other places in the state witnessed its maximum temperatures between 38.0 degree Celsius to 35.0 degree Celsius. In its forecast, the Met office, said that weather would mainly remain dry in the state and mercury will continue to take an upward swing.
