Meal Allowances: Pharmacists Boycott Work For Two Hours | Jaipur News

Jaipur: State pharmacists from Monday initiated a two-hour work boycott between 8am and 10am till September 14, to press for meal allowances, duty allowances, risk allowances among other unmet demands.
Patients in government-run hospitals faced difficulties in getting free medicines under the state government’s free medicine scheme on Monday. “In the state, 2,600 pharmacists, who are in-service government pharmacists, in hospitals across the state boycotted work for two hours,” said Anand Sura, state president of Rajasthan Pharmacist Karamchari Sangh (United). From September 15 the pharmacists have threatened a complete strike if their demands are not met. TNN
