3 killed as bus collides with trailer in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Three persons, including the bus driver, were killed when a bus collided with a stationary trailer on NH21 in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan on Tuesday night.
The victims have been identified as Kamlesh (bus driver), aged 40, the helper Vijendra Singh, aged 40, and Bunty, aged 22. Two seriously injured persons were subsequently referred to Jaipur for treatment.
The police team reached the spot, extracting injured passengers and transporting them to the hospital for treatment.
Vinod Meena, the station house officer (SHO) of Chiksana police station, said “The incident occurred around 2am on Tuesday night. Authorities were alerted to a collision involving a bus and a stranded trailer near Barso village on NH21.”
In total, 24 people sustained injuries as a result of this accident.
The accident unfolded when a trailer carrying stones broke down while traveling on the Jaipur-Agra National Highway near Barso village around 2am. The driver parked the disabled trailer on the side of the highway. Subsequently, a sleeper coach bus en route from Jhunjhunu to Gwalior collided with the stationary trailer due to poor visibility caused by darkness.
