Jaipur Metro: Jaipur Metro To Be Extended To City’s Highways By 2025 And 2027 | Jaipur News

Jaipur: According to the Urban Development and Housing (UDH) department, metro rides would reach the south western highway of Jaipur by March 2025 and the north-eastern highway of the city by April 2027. Both the extension projects of the Jaipur Metro are part of the Integrated Transport Management System (ITMS) jointly implemented by the transport and UDH Departments.
“If everything works fine Jaipur Metro would reach the 200-feet bypass on Ajmer Highway by March 2025. On the other hand, we are hoping to complete the extension of the Badi Chaupar and Transport Nagar stretch by April 2027. Works are going on according to the plan,” said a senior UDH official.
As per the plan, the metro would be extended for another 1.35 km stretch from Mansarovar to 200-feet bypass. The construction cost for this elevated stretch would cost Rs 204.81 crores. In the walled city areas Metro would be extended for another 2.85 kms to reach Transport Nagar near the Agra Road. This stretch would run underground till the proposed station near Ramganj Market and then run on an elevated stretch to reach Transport Nagar. The government had sanctioned Rs 980.08 crore for this project. These two extensions would help ITMS to a great extent.
According to officials, two satellite bus stops would come up on the 200 feet bypass and on the Agra Road as a substitute to the present Sindhi Camp bus stand. Several buses from Ajmer, Bundi, Kota would terminate at the 200-feet bypass. Similarly, buses from north and north east like from Delhi, Agra, Uttar Pradesh and even Haryana would terminate at the new satellite bus stands.

Ravindra Jadeja believes that his crucial wicket of Steve Smith was the turning point that helped India gain control of the game against Australia. Jadeja, who is familiar with the Chennai pitch from playing for CSK, described it as a Test match pitch. He stated that having more such pitches in the tournament would be beneficial. Additionally, Jadeja mentioned the healthy competition within the team and the panic in the dressing room after the early dismissals. Australian paceman Josh Hazlewood acknowledged India’s strong batting lineup and expressed confidence in Maxwell and Zampa’s ability to handle the spin.
