Jaipur: Colonel Jangvir Lamba, 51, a resident of Jaipur and a fourth-generation Indian Army officer, has added another feather to his cap by successfully completing the Ironman Malaysia triathlon held at Langkawi on October 7.
Ironman Malaysia is considered to be one of the toughest ironman triathlon circuits in the world, partially because of the intense heat and humidity at this time of the year.
As per a defence ministry statement, Col Lamba completed the event, which comprises a 3.8-km swim, 180-km cycling, and 42.2-km marathon, in 16 hours and 41 mins. Col Lamba had earlier successfully completed the Asia Pacific Championship of Ironman Triathlon held at Cairns in Queensland, Australia, in June this year and also the Ironman 70.3 held in Goa last year in November.
