Congress Treats Hindus: Congress Treats Hindus as Second-Class Citizens: BJP Spokesperson | Jaipur News

Jaipur: BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Monday accused Congress of treating Hindus as second-class citizens in poll-bound Rajasthan and said the the Congress government’s “appeasement tactics” have “broken all records”.
“Congress has always treated Hindus in a second-class manner and has adopted a policy of appeasement. No Hindu festival was celebrated with peace in Rajasthan,” said Patra at a press conference at BJP’s media centre in Jaipur.
Accusing the Ashok Gehlot government of partiality along religious lines in matters of compensation for murder victims, Patra said, “Over 24 (Hindu) saints were murdered in the state, but they were not given any compensation. The family of one Iqbal, who died in a road rage incident, was given a compensation of Rs 50 lakh and allotted a dairy booth along with a government job.”
The BJP spokesperson cautioned the voters of Rajasthan that the result would be disastrous if they did not take the November 25 assembly polls as an opportunity to “take revenge for the unjust treatment”. He said, “The way PFI has destroyed Kerela, the Congress government will allow them to destroy Rajasthan if the party comes to power again.”
Taking a jibe at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, Patra said, “She performs yagya during elections, but do not forget that these are the same people who refused to even accept the existence of Lord Ram.” He was referring to an affidavit submitted by the Congress-led UPA-I government at Supreme Court of India in the Sethusumadram Project case in 2007 that stated that there was “no historical proof of Ram”.
“She (Priyanka Gandhi) says that her grandmother taught her Gayatri Mantra. If she has taught her, she must have taught it to her daughter-in-law Sonia Gandhiji, too. The country can never forget Sonia Gandhi calling Ram imaginary in court. I would like to tell those who call Ram imaginary that Ramlala’s life will be consecrated in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, and it is the biggest day of Hindu faith,” said Patra.
Patra accused the Gehlot government of deceiving Rajasthan’s youths and said 19 recruitment papers were leaked in the state. “It was the first time in the country’s history that papers were solved in a moving bus. The accused, including the board (RBSE) chairman in this case, are still absconding. The irony is that Rs 400 crore was collected from the 70 lakh youth in the name of paper fees,” he said.
Speaking in Ajmer later in the day, Patra alleged Congress’s Ajmer North candidate Mahendra Singh Ralawata went to worship at a dargah with the accused of the 1992 infamous blackmail incident. “The move has created fear among women in Ajmer. It is a blatant display of Congress’s appeasement policy,” he said.
