‘New govt must review Chiranjeevi’

JAIPUR: Private Hospitals and Nursing HomesJaipur:Society (PHNHS), which spearheaded 17-day protest against the Right to Health Bill in March-April, has requested that the new BJP-government should review the previous Congress government’s flagship schemes such as Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme (CHIS) and Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS). They linked the Congress’s loss in the state assembly elections to Right to Health Bill.
In March this year, the state assembly tabled the Right to Health Bill, following which the private hospitals and later, government hospital doctors had joined the protest against the proposed Bill.Even though the Bill is an Act now, its implementation is still awaited.
“Election results are the result of corrupt government health schemes and black laws like RTH. The impact of massive corruption in government health schemes like CHIS and RGHS implemented by the previous government in the state is clearly visible in the election results,” said Dr. Vijay Kapoor, president PHNHS. tnn
