JMC-H Mayor: JMC-H Mayor Warns Officials of Action Against Illegal Constructions in Jaipur | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Jaipur Municipal Corporation – Heritage (JMC-H) mayor Munesh Gurjar on Monday warned that action would be taken against officials of the civic body’s vigilance wing if illegal constructions in the Walled City were not stopped immediately.
The Walled City was declared a UNESCO Heritage site in February 2020, and changing the architecture of the area was disallowed.
During a review meeting she chaired on Monday, Gurjar also set a deadline of ten days to improve cleanliness conditions. She instructed officials of the garage wing to deploy two waste collection vehicles as a “quick response team” to clear open waste depots.
She said a guest house with modern facilities and bearing a heritage would be built by the civic body. “The foundation stone of this guest house, which will be built at a cost of about Rs 10 crore, will be laid in January,” said the mayor.
