Jaipur Teen Leaves Home After Parents Uninstall Social Media Accounts | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A 13-year-old girl left her house after her parents uninstalled her social media accounts here on Sunday night. She was found from a bus in Ajmer on Monday.
The girl’s father informed Vidhyadhar Nagar thana that his daughter had gone missing. Police constituted a special team that tracked down the girl from a bus in Ajmer on Monday.
Vidhyadhar Nagar SHO Virendra Kureel told TOI that three separate teams were constituted in search of the girl. “It was a sensitive case because the missing person was a minor. One team went to look for her, the second team scanned CCTV footage and the third was roped in for technical assistance,” Kureel said.
Police said the class 8 student operated social media apps on her parents’ phones. They chided her for spending too much time on those apps that upset the girl.
“The girl had also befriended a person online and she wanted to meet her. She left her house for the same purpose before we traced her,” Kureel said. Two police teams scanned CCTVs of her house and stumbled upon some clues. Around the same time, Kureel dispatched another team to Ajmer when the technical teams learnt that she may be travelling through Beawar.
