26 Chief Medical Health Officers Shifted In State | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a major reshuffle, the health department transferred 46 senior doctors, including 26 chief medical health officers (CMHO), on Wednesday. Jaipur’s CMHO (I) Dr Narottam Sharma will be the deputy director (plan) at health directorate.
The health department has 34 posts of CMHOs in 33 districts. In Jaipur, two CMHOs are deployed. Out of 34 CMHOs, 26 have been transferred.
Recently, health department had released a list of 89 doctors to be picked as CMHOs. Following the new criteria for eligibility, 89 doctors were found eligible for taking the top job.
Earlier, there was no such criteria, which was why senior officials or health ministers faced blames for giving posting to inexperienced doctors as CMHOs.
The health department has considered experience of a doctor and his performance in the past few years, especially in past five financial years from 2016-17 to 2020-21.
They have also checked if any the candidate was penalised for involvement in indisciplined acts or had corruption charges against him. Also, they have checked if the candidate was awarded for his exceptional performance, while releasing the list of 89 doctors qualifying for the post of CMHOs. One of the criteria for eligibility was grade pay.
