Mla-lad: No Progress In 3,292 Projects Even After 30 Days Of Fin Nod | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Work hasn’t started in 3,292 projects even after 30 days of issuing financial sanction under MLA-LAD scheme (as on January 5), a rural development department’s powerpoint presentation on the ‘physical progress of 15th Assembly’ has revealed.
According to data, the number of works that are still in progress beyond the expected date of completion under MLA-LAD is 10,110. A presentation on the physical progress of various rural schemes was given to the chief secretary by the rural development and panchayati raj department during a review meeting on January 10.
Similarly, work hasn’t started in 566 projects even after 30 days of issuing financial sanction under the MP-LAD scheme (as on January 5). The number of works that are still in progress beyond the expected date of completion under the MP-LAD scheme is 1,750.
Moreover, while the percentage of expenditure under the MLA-LAD scheme (15th Assembly) was 14.56%, it was just 13.05% under the MP-LAD scheme, the data stated.
As far as the physical progress of the MLA-LAD scheme under the 14th Assembly was concerned, 1,966 works were still in progress and work in 130 projects were yet to begin. The data also mentioned that 57 works were under progress under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) and utilisation certificate (UC) was pending in works amounting to Rs 21.18 crore in Barmer, Bikaner, Ganganagar and Jaisalmer districts.
