Jaisalmer: Four youths died in two accidents in Barmer district on Wednesday night. In the first accident, three youths on motorcycle, who were returning from work, died after colliding with a tractor.
In another incident a youth was killed on the spot after an unidentified vehicle hit him while he was walking beside a road.
In the first incident, RIICO police said that on Wednesday night three youths were returning from work on a motorcycle to their village. Their bike hit a tractor from behind in Jasaram Ki Pyau Kudla village, killing all three on the spot. The trio, residents of Matasar Bhuratia worked as labourers in Barmer city. On Thursday, their bodies were handed to their families after the postmortem.
After getting the information about the accident, police reached the spot and took them to the district hospital where the doctors declared them dead. The deceased were identified as Annaram (30), Motaram (28) and Bakhtaram (30). Police have seized the tractor.
In another incident, in Chauhatan, two brothers were walking home from a bhajan sandhya when a tractor hit one of them from behind. The victim, identified as Gogram, a resident of Kharawala village was critically injured. He was referred to Jodhpur after the first aid but he died on the way to Jodhpur.
Police on getting the information kept the body at the district hospital and handed over the body to the family members after the postmortem. Police are investigating the matter.
