Bjp: ‘bjp United In State, Election To Be Contested Under Pm’s Leadership’ | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said here on Saturday that there is no faction in BJP in Rajasthan and that the party would contest the upcoming Assembly polls under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
Describing the renewed activity by senior BJP leader and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, Shekhawat said she has been a leader in the state for 20 years and her getting active this time has nothing unusual. “We are all working together and working for the party, and we are committed to bring BJP back to power in the state,” said the minister, who was on a visit to Jaisalmer, to journalists.
On a question about BJP’s chief ministerial candidate in Rajasthan, he said BJP national president JP Nadda has told in front of everybody that the face of BJP would be Narendra Modi and that the election would be contested on his face. “Every government makes an effort to attract the people through the Budget, but the Gehlot government failed doing so. Forget this budget, not even 59% of the announcements made in the last four Budgets and their (Congress) election manifesto have materialised so far,” said Shekhawat.
Criticising the Gehlot government, he said its promises such as loan waiver for farmers, unemployment allowance, not increasing electricity bills and regularising contractual workers were yet to see the light of day. “The CM is a resident of Jodhpur, and he had promised to make the Jodhpur lift canal, but it is yet to be completed. Gehlot accuses the Raje government of partiality with Jodhpur, but this lift canal is yet to be a reality in the last four years despite being announced in two Budgets,” he said.
Shekhawat said while it was directed that water be given from the Pokhran drinking water project to the refinery for one hour for drinking purposes, villagers told him that the refinery was illegally taking more water than required. He directed the district collector to investigate the matter and asked PHED officers to take necessary action.
