10k Contract Staff Will Be Regularised Initially | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The contractual employees’ association has claimed that only 10,000 contractual employees with 15 years of experience will be regularised in the first year even as the state government has promised to regularise 1.10 lakh such employees.
An official in the finance department said all 1.10 lakh employees will not be regularised at one go. In the first year, only those who have completed 15 years of service will be regularised. “Those who have 12, 13 and 14 years of experience, will be regularised after one more year of service (next year). This process will continue,” the official said.
Of the total contractual employees, 41,423 are in the education department, 18,326 in the rural development and panchayati raj department, 5,697 in the minority affairs department and 44,833 in the medical and health and medical education departments.
Rajasthan government, in the state Budget 2023-24, said the contractual employees, working under various departments will be regularised on a similar pattern as selection/promotion to the rank of IAS from other services. Under this, only one-third of their work experience will be counted instead of their total work experience.
However, the contractual employees’ associations demand that their total work experience of previous service should be counted in regularisation of their posts.
“Only five years of experience will be counted for those who have worked for 15 years. However, in Rajasthan, only 10,000 contractual employees have an experience of 15 years, ” said Ramswaroop Tank, state general secretary, Sanyunkt Sambidha Mukti Morcha, Rajasthan
