Jmc-greater To Hold Health Camps For Sanitation Staff | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The JMC-Greater administration on Friday announced the civic body will organise medical camps in every ward to provide better healthcare facilities to sanitation staff.
Mayor Somya Gurjar said these camps will be organised over the next one-and-a-half months. She said along with health experts, a list of 20 diseases will be identified that the sanitation staff faces, and treatment will be given accordingly.
“Taking care of the health of the sanitation workers who keep the city clean is top priority of JMC-Greater. The way G20 is being organised, the civic body will start H20, where health check-ups will be done regularly for 20 different kinds of diseases and ailments that sanitation workers generally suffer from or develop while working, as they clean the garbage generated in the city. Till upcoming Yoga Day, health check-ups will be organised in all 150 wards,” said the mayor.
On World Health Day observed on Friday, health check-up camp was organised for sanitation workers at JMC-Greater headquarters.
Sanitation workers said though the initiative is good, it will be helpful if health check-ups are organised regularly.
