Ews: Vipra Panel Seeks Rebate In Marks For Ews In Ptet | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Vipra Kalayan board chairman Mahesh Sharma has demanded 5% relaxation in marks for the economically weaker section (EWS) candidates in the pre-teacher education test (PTET) 2023 conducted by the Govind Guru Janjatiya University, Banswara.
He made the demand in a letter to the chief minister.
He said as per the notification issued by the university, the eligibility for general candidates is 50% marks while that of the reserved category is 45%. He said as the EWS also comes under the reserved category, 5% rebate should be given to them similar to SC/STand OBC.
Sharma said according to the central notification also, the EWS is eligible for a rebate in marks, and considering that lakhs of candidates from this category are affected by the decision, he requested the chief minister to give relaxation equivalent to the reserved category to EWS in PTET. TNN
