Gold Medals To 16, Phd To 14 At Sanskrit Varsity | Jaipur News
Jaipur: At the fifth convocation ceremony of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University, 16 students were conferred with gold medals and 14 with PhD by Governor Kalraj Mishra on Monday. Titles of Vidyavaridhi, Vidyanidhi, Samyuktacharya and Shastri-Acharya were awarded to students. “Sanskrit language has an important role in keeping the country’s unity and integrity intact. There is a need to promote Sanskrit by giving it a new context which can connect the new generation with ancient Indian literature and culture,” said Mishra. Sanskrit education minister B D Kalla said that in order to promote Sanskrit in Rajasthan, the government has recently decided to open 20 Sanskrit colleges in the state. tnn
