T-104 Died Due To Negligence, Lung Infection Not Detected | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The male tiger, T-104, which killed three people and was considered a threat to human life, met an untimely death as a result of the forest department officials’ negligence in failing to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for transporting the animal from Ranthambore National Park to Sajjangarh Biological Park in Udaipur. Despite the tiger already being afflicted with a lung infection, the officials tranquilised it, which exacerbated the spread of the infection.
According to reports, the forest department officials failed to conduct necessary tests before administering the tranquiliser and neglected to perform necessary medical examinations. After the postmortem, a senior forest official confirmed the infection in the tiger’s lungs. He said, “This infection did not occur suddenly. It gradually spread throughout its body.”
