Pilot: Mallikarjun Kharge calls meet with Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot on Friday | India News

JAIPUR: Congress politicians from Rajasthan will meet in New Delhi on May 26 to discuss preparations for the upcoming assembly election and ending a factional feud in the party’s state unit.
The meeting has been called by party president Mallikarjun Kharge. Those who are to attend include CM Ashok Gehlot, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot and PCC president Govind Singh Dotasra. Other prominent Congress politicians from the state will also be present. According to Congress politicians, an attempt will be made to bring all leaders onto the same page before the Rajasthan assembly elections.
Other issues likely to come up for discussion are the government’s performance, a survey report on ministers and legislators, major election issues, advance announcements of candidates, and a formula for dealing with factions.
AICC in-charge SS Randhawa said the meeting would be in connection with preparations for the assembly polls and not specifically related to any personal issue.
Randhawa, who had earlier been vocal in the Pilot case, is now refraining from giving direct statements. “For me, these two leaders (Gehlot and Pilot) are not the only leaders in the state. I have many other leaders, besides both of them, in Rajasthan. I am talking to every leader,” Randhawa told the media in Delhi.
