RBSE Class 10: 90% students pass, 7.6% higher than last yr | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: In Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) Class 10 examination for which results were announced on Friday, 90.49% students passed which is 7.6% higher than the last year when the success rate was 82.89%. The results also showed that girls outperformed boys.
The pass percentage for girls this year is 91.31% while for boys it is 89.78%. In this year’s result, Kota has the lowest result at 79.48% and Jhunjhunu’s result has been the highest at 95.70%. Districts like Nagaur (95.04%) and Sikar (95.63%) also performed well. Jaipur district recorded a pass percentage of 92.30%. In the state, 16 districts recorded a pass percentage over 90%, 16 more districts recorded a pass percentage over 80%.
Education minister BD Kalla released the result at Shiksha Sankul on Friday. This year total 10,41,373 students appeared in the examination, with 5,58,853 boys and 4,82,520 girls. The passed students included 5,01,752 boys and 4,40,608 girls.
A total of 4,21,682 students passed with first division, 3,77,251 students have secured the second division, 1,42,887 students passed with third division and 33,351 students have got supplementary.
Expressing happiness over the higher pass percentage of girls as compared to boys, the education minister congratulated all the successful students.
“It is good that this year, the result of Class 10 has significantly improved from last year with an almost 8% increase. Girls have performed better than boys once again, but boys are not that far behind. There has been a healthy competition between them,” said Kalla.
Congratulating the students, minister of state for education Zahida Khan said, “Other students who could not secure high marks should not be disappointed with this result and prepare for the examinations with more hard work in future.”
Several students have passed with good marks from different districts, like from Jodhpur, a bus conductor’s daughter Yashvi Rathore has scored 98.50% marks. She said that she studied for four to five hours daily and focused on all subjects.
In Jaipur, all students from Mahatma Gandhi Government School at Gandhi Nagar passed with 44 students securing first division and eight students securing second division. This was the first batch for English medium students from this school. Manvi Sain from this school with 92.33% became the school topper.
