Rathore: Rathore Slams Gehlot Govt’s Relief For Cattle Deaths Due To Lumpy | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore has slammed the Gehlot government for granting compensation for the death of 42,000 cattle due to lumpy skin disease even though the number of cattle that died was much higher.
In a press conference held at BJP state headquarters here on Tuesday, Rathore said, “The government admitted that 15.67 lakh livestock were infected with lumpy and 76,000 of them died. The sarpanch association submitted a memorandum saying that 5.13 lakh livestock died due to the outbreak. Despite their own claim and the sarpanch association’s claim, they gave compensation for just 42,000 cows.” Rathire said that the cows that died in government-run cow shelters were not considered for compensation by the government.
