ACB Raids: ACB Raids Find Documents of 29 Properties with UIT Engineer in Jaipur | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Jaipur office of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted raids at the residence and other establishments of assistant engineer Kamal Meena, deputed at the Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) in Kota, on Wednesday.
During the search operation, about 370 grams of gold and 1.5 kg silver were recovered from Meena’s house and bank locker, the ACB said.In addition to this, cash anddocuments related to 29 residential and agricultural properties at various locations in his and his family’s names were found, the ACB said.
A senior ACB official said, “The headquarters received information about a case of disproportionate assets, leading to the registration of an FIR. Search actions are being carried out by teams from Jaipur and Kota at the residence and hostel of UIT engineer Kamal Meena.”
The accused had allegedly invested illegal income in residential/commercial plots, flats, and mutual funds, insurance, etc, under his and his wife’s name in Kota, Jaipur, Keshavraipatan, Bundi. Further revelations by the team are expected.
An official mentioned that following instructions from the headquarters, the team took action by conducting a search at Meena’s premises for more than six hours. “Meena, primarily posted at the state agriculture marketing board, has been on deputation at UIT for a long time and has been involved in significant projects, including the Chambal River Front. The ACB had been providing information about large-scale black money activities by Meena for an extended period,” the official said.
The ACB team arrived at Meena’s house at Kalpana Chawla Circle, Vivekananda Nagar, at 7:30 in the morning. The team also conducted a search at a hostel belonging to Meena located in Borkheda area. Additionally, a team searched files at the UIT office.
Sources mentioned, “Kamal Meena was also allegedly involved in pressuring to dismantle the world’s largest bell at Kota’s Chambal riverfront, resulting in the deaths of two people, including an engineer.”

Bhopal CBI’s ACB nabs BSNLs principal GM for alleged bribery
The Principal General Manager of BSNL in Bhopal was arrested by the CBI ACB for accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a junior telecom officer. The officer, identified as Mahendra Singh, demanded Rs 40,000 from the JTO to settle a charge-sheet. Assistant engineer Rakesh Yadav, acting on behalf of the Principal GM, approached the JTO for the bribe. The CBI set a trap and apprehended Singh when the JTO handed over the money. Searches are being conducted at the accused’s residential and office premises.
Kota student left no suicide note, say cops
A 20-year-old NEET aspirant from West Bengal, Faureed Hussain, hanged himself in Kota, becoming the 25th coaching student to commit suicide in the city this year. No suicide note was found. The spate of student suicides in Kota prompted the administration to issue directives. In August alone, six coaching students ended their lives. On September 18, a 16-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh died after consuming poison while preparing for NEET.
