Accident: Man Killed In Hit-and-run Accident | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A 55-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident near Govindam Tower in Kardhani area of the city on Monday morning.
The victim, Balkrishna Gupta, was a resident of B-Block in Kardhani Scheme, said police. The accident took place at 7am when a speeding black Thar vehicle struck Gupta. The vehicle’s driver fled the scene, leaving the victim lie bleeding on the road and unattended. Concerned onlookers rushed Gupta to Kanwatiya Hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after being admitted. His body was handed over to his family after post-mortem there.
“The family members of the deceased have lodged a complaint about the accident. We have initiated an investigation into the incident. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being reviewed to identify and locate the black Thar vehicle and its driver,” said a police official. TNN
