Jaipur: The Rajasthan Police headquarters on Monday placed additional commissioner of police (ACP), Ashok Nagar, Rajendra Kumar Rawat under awaiting posting order (APO), while simultaneously suspending station house officer (SHO) Ashok Nagar, Rajveer Singh.
Director-general of police (DGP) Umesh Mishra issued the APO order for Rawat, while inspector-general (IG), vigilance, Param Jyoti issued the suspension order for Singh.
The disciplinary action was taken against both officers for allegedly not acting on cafes and resto bars operating after midnight.
A police officer said, “A departmental inquiry is underway against Singh.”
