Active Covid cases rise to 150 in Rajasthan | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The active cases in the state continued to rise on the third consecutive day on Sunday from 143 to 150 in 24 hours. However, for the second day in a row, Covid cases have reduced in the state and in the district too.
The state reported 15 new Covid infections in 24 hours bringing its overall tally to 12,83,332. No death was reported. The overall toll stands 9,552.
Jaipur was the only district in the state, which had reported the spike in Covid cases recently but in the past two days in a row, it has been decreasing. On April 22, Jaipur had reported 31 Covid cases, while on April 23, the city had reported 13 cases and on April 24, the daily new infections reduced to 10.
While Jaipur reported 10 Covid cases in 24 hours, Dholpur reported three cases and one case each was reported from Bhilwara and Udaipur. The rest of the 29 districts did not report a single Covid infection.
Nine districts in the state have active cases, while the rest of the 24 districts do not have any active cases of Covid currently. Jaipur has the highest number of active cases at 124, Ajmer has 5, and Udaipur has 4, three in Jodhpur, while Kota, Bhilwara and Bikaner have two active cases each currently.
Since it was Sunday, only 6,297 Covid vaccine doses were administered to the beneficiaries. The paid booster doses vaccination, which had begun from April 10 at private hospitals in the state to all aged from 18 to 59 years, is running at slow pace. In 15 days, only 4,227 booster doses have been administered from 18 to 59 years.
Overall doses including all first, second and booster doses, administered in the state have increased to 10.40 crore.
