Jaldhara To Be Reopened For Visitors In Apr | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Almost after three years, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is all set to reopen the Jaldhara water park again on JLN Marg in the first week of April.
JDA officials stated that they had repaired the water stream and a few other structures inside the park and it’s ready to open gates for the visitors.
“We have spent close to Rs 79 lakh to restore the water stream inside the park which was heavily damaged owing to heavy rainfall on August 14, 2022 and subsequent flow of water from the Jhalana hills. We have almost rebuilt the stream,” said Hemendra Sharma, executive engineer of JDA.
The water park, considered as one of the dream projects of JDA, was inaugurated in 2010. Officials said, being connected to the slopes of Jawahar Nagar, University and Jhalana, the location of Jaldhara is quite sensitive. Incessant rainfall and subsequent water flow always have an adverse impact on this park. Even in the past, during the 2012 monsoon the park remained closed.
“We could not find any solution to this rainfall as its location is the problem, which may again get affected in the future due to heavy rains,” an official added.
The timings of the park have also been extended. TNN
