JAIPUR: Cabinet minister Ramlal Jat triggered a controversy alleging that the Agnipath scheme would expose the country to trained terrorists as young people without pension and job security are prone to go astray.
Speaking to reporters, Jat said when pension is given to MLAs and MPs even for serving a year, then why not to Agniveers. “You are giving a job for five years, four years, three years to young people. At least give them pension. You are pushing the country towards trained terrorists,” he added.
Jat said, “In times to come, the youth of the country will understand. While in opposition, we will oppose this scheme on every platform. We will awaken the country by supporting the issues that Rahul Gandhi is raising,” he said. On the barbaric murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, he said the murder was shocking.
