Ajmer Brawl: Cops Record Statements Of Restaurant Staff | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The vigilance wing of the Rajasthan police has completed the process of recording statements from employees of an eatery in Ajmer, where an IAS and an IPS officer were involved in an altercation with the staff last week.
Sources informed TOI that the statements of the staff have been recorded; however, the statements of IAS Girdhar and IPS Sushil Kumar are yet to be recorded.
The government took action after CCTV footage of the incident surfaced, and the matter was reported to the state government on June 13. Girdhar was the commissioner of Ajmer Development Authority (ADA), while Sushil Kumar IPS was recently transferred from the additional SP Ajmer to the officer on special duty (OSD) for the newly announced district of Gangpur City. Kumar belongs to the 2019 batch of IPS.
“The report will be submitted to the senior officials very soon. We have also started examining the photos and videos of the incident,” said an official.
The police stated that they are only investigating the allegations of misconduct, while the Ajmer police are separately investigating the FIR filed by the eatery’s owners.
