Anju: Husband of Rajasthan woman who married in Pak files FIR | Jaipur News
In his FIR filed in Alwar’s Bhiwadi on Friday against Anju and Nasrullah, Arvind Kumar has called her second marriage “illegitimate”. He demanded the couple be arrested if they came to India. He said he had suffered greatly and his reputation was damaged nationally and internationally.
Police said Anju was now in Pakistan and could only be investigated once she returned to India.
“We filed the FIR as her first husband provided us legal documents of their marriage. At this stage, nothing more can be done,” said an official. The FIR has been lodged under IPC Sections 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing a woman to compel her marriage), 494 (marrying again during the lifetime of a husband or wife), 500 (defamation), and 506 (criminal intimidation).
Kumar alleged that Nasrullah befriended his wife on Facebook and deceived her with false promises over several months despite knowing that she was married and a mother of two.
According to Kumar, he and Anju had a Christian wedding in 2007 at a Bhiwadi church, and have two children together, one born in 2007 and the other in 2017.
Kumar claimed Anju had been threatening him through WhatsApp calls, and that Nasrullah had forced her to travel to Pakistan on July 21 to meet him.
