“At CyberMedia Research (CMR), our research insights point to a strong growth momentum for Apple in India. In Q2 2023, there was a robust growth uptick in Apple iPhone shipments, driven primarily by the Apple iPhone 14 series and iPhone 13 series,” Prabhu Ram, head-industry intelligence group, CyberMedia Research (CMR), told The Times of India-Gadgets Now.
Modest growth for iPads
Apple iPad also saw an uptick in shipments, registering a 6% YoY growth in Q2 2023. The iPad 9 series shipped the most in the quarter with 42% market share. This was followed by iPad 10 series at 22% share, iPad Air series 2022 with 18% share and iPad Pro series 2022 at 16%.

CMR also estimates the potential market share of iPhones in India could be 7% and iPads could be 25% in the calendar year 2023.
