Jaipur: Twently people have been arrested so far in connection with a violent clash that broke out between two groups supporting different political parties in Dholpur district, police said Tuesday.
District Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar said no fresh violence was reported in the area on Tuesday. He said that as a precaution, 165 security personnel have been deployed in Bari area of the district.The officer said that he along with his other colleagues held meetings with the people in several villages. Two Assam Police officers arrested in cash-for-job scam
Two Assam Police officers, Sahjahan Sarkar and Aishwarjya Jiwan Baruah, have been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the DGP in connection with the 2013-14 Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash-for-job scam. They are among the 34 Assam Civil Service and police service officers named in a tabulation sheet recovered from the residence of former APSC chairperson Rakesh Paul. The SIT, headed by the ADGP of CID, was constituted following the Gauhati High Court’s observations. The court had directed the SIT to file an interim report addressing the separation of cases and the delay in forwarding documents to the forensic science laboratory.
