Two Held For Looting ₹13l From House At Galta Gate | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Two men were arrested on Friday for allegedly looting cash of Rs 13 lakh and jewellery worth several lakh from a house under Galta Gate police station area in the city on Thursday.
Police said cash of Rs 7 lakh and some jewellery were recovered from the two accused, identified as Mahesh Kumar Nayak (27) and Ankit Malhotra (20). Malhotra, who lived near the victim’s house, was aware of the cash and jewellery kept there and had hatched a conspiracy with his friend, said a police official.
“The two accused had recced the house for a few days before breaking into it and fleeing with valuable items and cash. We had set up multiple teams to track down the suspects. A search is on for a third accused and other people who might have helped the two men in the crime,” he added.
The loot at the house at Galta Gate had taken place a day after five men had stormed into a trader’s house in the city and decamped with cash and jewellery worth over Rs 50 lakh.
